Asymmetrical Spinnakers:

Standard Size

standard asymPrecision Sails' Standard Sized Asymmetrical All Purpose Spinnaker is deeply discounted over custom spinnakers, it's a good option for cruisers who need a spinnaker for the widest possible range of uses. This versatile sail is ideal for anyone hoping to sail with only one spinnaker on board. It's medium-full shape and full radial panel layout make it fitting for running and broad reaching angles. The spinnaker's modern cross section design creates a forgiving shape with a smooth, rounded entry that straightens towards the leech. This makes it easy to trim and minimizes the boat's heeling angle when reaching. The Asymmetrical Spinnaker is available in our High Tenacity Nylon and is designed for apparent wind angles of 80-155 degrees.

Consider adding a Precision Sails Turtle Bag or a Precision Sails Spinnaker Sock to make deploying and snuffing your spinnaker safer and easier.

Code Zero

code zeroThe Code Zero is a spinnaker-genoa hybrid; designed to operate like a genoa, but considered a spinnaker under racing rules. This sail will help boats performance in tight reaching angles, especially in lighter winds by generating much more speed than a slightly eased head sail. These sails reach very well in moderate wind and their shape and size make them a very effective heavy weather running spinnaker. A low stretch Vectran line is normally used for the luff and the sail is tensioned firmly to get a straight luff (a lot like a genoa). It has a mid girth of 75% of the foot length so it measures as a spinnaker, but has a much bigger area than a genoa. We design them to be quite flat for a spinnaker with a straight leech exit. They are normally manufactured from a laminate with Kevlar Spectra and Technora yarns for very low stretch. The optimal wind speed for this sail is 3 to 25 knots true wind speed and in lighter winds you can carry this sail up to 45 degree TWA.

Consider adding a Precision Sails Turtle Bag or a Precision Sails Spinnaker Sock to make deploying and snuffing your spinnaker safer and easier.

A1 Light Reacher

A1 Light ReacherThe Code 1 Asymmetrical Spinnaker is a Light Air Reaching sail. This sail is normally manufactured from light spinnaker nylon and is designed for stable boats that want to improve their light air performance.

A2 Medium Runner

A2 Medium RunnerThe Code 2 Asymmetrical Spinnaker is a Medium / All Purpose Running sail. This sail is designed with the longest luff and largest mid girth of all spinnakers. This is a very stable spinnaker meant to sail the deepest angles. It is normally manufactured from light to medium weight spinnaker cloth to help with lower apparent wind speeds.
115 - 160 Apparent Wind Angle
8 - 20 Apparent Wind Speed

Consider adding a Precision Sails Turtle Bag or a Precision Sails Spinnaker Sock to make deploying and snuffing your spinnaker safer and easier.

A3 Medium Reacher

A3 Medium Reacher The Code 3 Asymmetrical Spinnaker is a Medium Air Reaching sail. This sail is designed to help the boat accelerate quickly in choppy and changing wind conditions. This sail is designed slightly flatter than the A1 with a smaller mid girth and slightly longer luff to allow the sail to perform better with increasing winds.
70 - 120 Apparent Wind Angle
5 - 23 Apparent Wind Speed

Consider adding a Precision Sails Turtle Bag or a Precision Sails Spinnaker Sock to make deploying and snuffing your spinnaker safer and easier.

A4 Heavy Runner

A4 heavy runner The Code 4 Asymmetrical Spinnaker is a Heavy Air Running sail. This sail is designed with the midgirth up as high as possible and slightly smaller luff length than an A2. It is constructed with heavier spinnaker material. This sail will work best if you have a stable, powerful boat and you want to improve broad reaching to downwind capability.
115 - 165 Apparent Wind Angle
10 - 25 Apparent Wind Speed

Consider adding a Precision Sails Turtle Bag or a Precision Sails Spinnaker Sock to make deploying and snuffing your spinnaker safer and easier.

A5 Heavy Reacher

A5 heavy reacher The Code 5 Asymmetrical Spinnaker is a Heavy Air Reaching sail. This sail is designed with a flatter shape and tighter and straighter luff. This allows the sail to be used for reaching in higher wind speeds.
85 - 130 Apparent Wind Angle
16 - 28 Apparent Wind Speed

Consider adding a Precision Sails Turtle Bag or a Precision Sails Spinnaker Sock to make deploying and snuffing your spinnaker safer and easier.

Symmetrical Spinnakers:

Standard Size

standard symThis is our Standard Sized Symmetrical All Purpose Spinnaker. Deeply discounted over custom spinnakers if it s good option for cruisers who need a spinnaker for the widest possible range of uses. This stable sail benefits from a cross section shape that is elliptical and easy to trim with a maximum projected area and medium depth of camber that works with a combination of broad and reaching angles. Designed for apparent wind angles of 120-180 degrees, this Spinnaker includes a full radial panel layout and requires a spinnaker pole. To create a larger area for advantage in average wind conditions (8-15 knots AWS), the Symmetrical Spinnaker is designed to have a more spherical profile that projects better to windward on a run. This is made possible specifically by its mid girth being significantly larger than its foot girth.

Consider adding a Precision Sails Turtle Bag or a Precision Sails Spinnaker Sock to make deploying and snuffing your spinnaker safer and easier.

S1 Light Reacher

A1 Light ReacherThe Code 1 Symmetrical Spinnaker is a Light Air Reaching sail. Designed with narrower girths in the upper part of the sail, medium fullness and moderate head angle for added stability in light winds. This sail is meant to sail closer to the rig and allow for deeper wind angles. Manufactured from light spinnaker cloth.
60 - 120 Apparent Wind Angle
0 - 7 Apparent Wind Speed

Consider adding a Precision Sails Turtle Bag or a Precision Sails Spinnaker Sock to make deploying and snuffing your spinnaker safer and easier.

S2 Medium Runner

S2 Medium Runner The Code 2 Symmetrical Spinnaker is a Medium Air / All Purpose Running sail. This sail covers the largest range of apparent wind angles and speed. It is designed with maximum fullness and large head angle with big shoulders so that they fly with maximum projection and power. The top 10% of the sail is flatter than the rest of the sail. This sail will fly windward away from disturbed air of the mainsail and rig.
115 - 170 Apparent Wind Angle
6 - 18 Apparent Wind Speed

Consider adding a Precision Sails Turtle Bag or a Precision Sails Spinnaker Sock to make deploying and snuffing your spinnaker safer and easier.

S3 Medium Reacher

Cruising Nylon

S5 heavy reacherAt Precision Sails we are constantly looking for ways to improve our materials and have recently sourced some of the most advanced nylon in the industry. This Nylon is currently available in 1.1 and 1.6 oz weights. The material is finished to strict technical parameters and includes a 5mm ripstop woven into the material.

Normally this type of construction and inclusion of a ripstop is uneconomic at this price level. But because these are single colored, standard sized sails, we can offer these high quality Spinnakers at this competitive price.

Ultimately, this is the perfect sail for the economically minded sailor who still wishes to have the quality required for a versatile sailing experience.
