Because it uses a woven construction and the incredibly durable Dyneema® yarns, Fibercon® Hybrid has powerful durability to impacts, wear and tear, and mildew. It is finished with a special Contender coating which is unique to this series of cloth. The result is a very durable, excellent performing sailcloth which is stronger than normal woven fabrics.

Long Lasting Performance
Fibercon Hybrid “powered with Dyneema” is a new addition to the Contender Fibercon Pro range of performance woven sailcloth. Carefully designed with performance cruising yachts and long distance cruising in mind, Fibercon® Hybrid combines tremendous strength and durability in a woven fabric suited to today’s high-tech radial sails. With a radial panel layout and the weights available from the Fibercon® Hybrid range, your sailmaker can choose to combine different weights within the sail. Matching the fabric to the loading of a particular area of the sail in this way can make your sail lighter and more efficient.
Strength and Flexabilty
Because it uses a woven construction and the incredibly durable Dyneema® yarns, Fibercon® Hybrid has superb resistance to impact damage and wear and tear in use, and to the growth of unsightly mildew. The combination of high strength Dyneema® yarns with our exclusive Fibercon polyester fibers has been engineered to take advantage of the properties of both components. It is finished with a special new Contender coating which is unique to this range of fabrics. The result is a super-durable, high performance cruising sailcloth which is much stronger than normal woven fabrics. Fibercon® Hybrid makes stable, long lasting and great looking radial sails. Fibercon® Hybrid powered with Dyneema® fabrics are available in a range of weights which are suited to almost all popular performance cruising yachts and are ideal for custom projects.
