Welcome to Untied – Max Campbell

Max’s sailing journey began in the summer of 2016 when he and a friend decided to leave their hometown of Falmouth UK on Max’s 22 foot wooden sailboat SV Flying Cloud. Together they cruised for three months along the coasts of France, Spain and Portugal. Along the way the friends parted and Max singled handed sailed across the Atlantic to the Caribbean and eventually back home to the UK.

In 2019 Max began his next adventure fixing up SV Elixir, a 37 foot 1970 Sparkman & Stephens Swan, and setting sail in early 2020. Unfortunately his circumnavigation only made it as far as Spain due to the pandemic and was put on hold until 2021. In February of 2021, he and 2 crew left the Canary Islands for their trans-Atlantic crossing to the warmer waters of the Caribbean. In early 2022 Max checked off another milestone, crossing the Panama Canal into the Pacific Ocean.
