Precision 21 Sailboat

The P21 is an outstanding design produced by the accredited boat designer, Jim Taylor. Before designing this model, he had worked on six similar sailboats (P15, P15K, P165, P18, P185, and P185K.) The Precision 21 was built by the Precision Boat Works in the United States.

It has a practical keel and centerboard combination; its NACA wing section can be used in numerous ways: it can be extended, pulled downward, or left in the middle. Moreover, it has a stellar sail area of 203 sq. ft. that offers minimal effort to get the boat moving in light air.

Looking at its design, the model has an overall length of 20’ 90”. It is not only relatively larger than the previous sailing boats, but it also offers a higher performance as it runs on a 600 lb. ballast keel. It is designed with a 7’ 1” self-bailing cockpit and a fiberglass deck. The deck is furnished with berths, storage shelves, lockers, interior lights, deluxe fabric covered cushions, and an alcohol stove. It is also engineered with a self-contained fresh water pump and stainless-steel sink.

This sailing boat is ideal for small families as it easily accommodates four average-size adults.
