Our boom covers are manufactured from industry-leading Sunbrella, 100% solution-dyed acrylic.
The High Neck Standard Boom Cover is manufactured from solution dyed Acrylic fabric with polyester or nylon webbing so that, while it keeps your sail clean and protected, it is itself appealing and compliments your boat. This fabric is used specifically because it can offer protection against physical abrasion as well as the elements, especially UV damage. As well, its ability to breathe prevents any threat of mildew.
This Boom Cover provides complete coverage that is secured under the boom by adjustable webbing straps and black snap buckles strategically placed. A durable zipper, secured against accidental opening by a webbing strap with Velcro closure or a tie, closes the forward end of the mast. The YKK zipper closure and intuitive securing straps offer ease and reliability of use that encourage the fastening and removal of the cover where appropriate. This cover is designed for mainsails with sliders or bolt rope on the luff of their sail and accounts for the height of their stacking when the sail is stowed.
Much like a sail, the sail cover of each boat is unique and should be tailored to the specific dimensions required by the vessel’s setup.
