Welcome to Sailing Zatara

Their moto is “let it float away” and that is exactly what Keith and Renne did in 2016! Feeling unsatisfied with their lives in suburban Texas they sold everything, bought a Beneteau 55′ and sailed away! In 2018 the family ungraded to their current boat, a 2005 Privilege 585 and haven’t looked back since. The crew of Zatara started with Keith, Renne and their four children, although Anna, their eldest of the four, has since moved back to Texas to complete her university studies.

Together this adventure loving family has sailed over 30,000 nautical miles exploring the Caribbean, French Polynesia, New Zealand and Australia in their quest to circumnavigate the globe.
